What’s new in Nothing Personal. Earlier builds were private betas for colleagues; 0.9.2 is the first public release.
Releases
Nothing Personal for Windows, and one Pro licence for your Macs and PCs.
- A Windows app. Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; the installer needs no administrator rights. Drop a folder and get a redacted copy next to it, offline, as on the Mac.
- One licence for Macs and PCs. 20 documents are free; a Pro key works on up to 3 of your computers, Mac or Windows, in any mix. Deactivate this PC in Settings frees a seat.
- To update on Windows, run the newer installer over the old one; your settings, key and licence stay. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen asks once: click More info, then Run anyway.
- A smaller download on the Mac: about 390 MB instead of 585 MB, with the same redaction. The Mac app updates itself to 0.9.3.
First public release: redact a whole folder on your Mac, now with Pro and automatic updates.
- A redacted copy of the whole folder, offline. Drop a folder and get a redacted copy next to it: names, contacts, home addresses, ID, card and account numbers become consistent stand-ins; company names stay; scans get solid boxes. Your documents never leave this Mac.
- 20 documents free, then Pro. Pro Annual ($149 a year) or Pro Lifetime ($279) removes the limit and adds projects with their own stand-ins, your own rules, putting the real names back into a reply, and a redaction report next to the copy.
- Updates built in. Check for Updates in the app menu and in Settings; an update waits for a running job to finish before it relaunches the app.
- Fewer surprises on big jobs. The app checks for free disk space before it starts, and tells you when an earlier run was interrupted and left a copy unfinished.
- Feedback from the app, by your own email. Request a feature opens a ready message in your mail app; nothing is sent until you send it.
